holy crap! kristen had a baby!

just got a phone call from kristen saying that she had a baby boy on november 2nd (good job randy on keeping the whole pregnancy thing a secret!). his name is Kaleb Nicholas and he was 5 lbs 12 oz (spelling and weight may vary as this was a phone conversation and my memory is not so good). she's at the saddleback valley memorial hospital until sunday i think. i was in so much shock i probably got half of these facts wrong.

anyway, congratulations kristen!!! <3

edit: kaleb is spelled with a K, and she just picked the middle name a couple of hours ago. i'm presuming that's how she's spelling nicholas :). hopefully pictures will be available soon. he's a very cute baby, especially for a preemie.

i didn't say i had any. i said *hopefully* they'd be available soon, as kristen told me she would email me some. not surprisingly, the busy new mom hasn't gotten to it yet. you are, however, welcome to go visit her and the new baby. she's staying at her mom's house in westminster.

Ahh, okay. Holly's comment made me think that you had posted one at some point (since she obviously has seen him). I'll have to get directions from you and swing by once I'm not sick.

i don't think holly's seen him yet, at least she hadn't at the time i'd made the post. her comment was in reference to the weight that i included in my original post: 5 lbs 12 oz. that's very small for a normal baby.

No, I haven't seen him yet, but heck if she's at her mom's than there is no reason I shouldn't as soon as I get a few minutes at a decent hour. I can just walk over there. Or do you know if she does not want to be bothered, kat?

oh, she seems like she definitely wants people to come be supportive and stuff ;). we told her to give us a call when she was all settled at home, but i don't know that she will.

I know how much babies should weigh, damn it. I just glossed over the weight with the fact that Kristen had a baby in the first place. Makes perfect sense after Katrina pointed it out.

so yeah

hi everyone. :) i hope to find more time to write details, but for now it will have to be short.

the baby and i are doing great. kaleb is such a mellow baby. :) he hardly ever cries and is already sleeping 4 hours at a time!!

i'm working on getting the pictures. brent (mom's boyfriend) is in arizona right now, so i can't get onto his computer to upload them. his dad just passed away and i wouldn't feel right about pestering him.

anyone who would like to visit is welcome. give me a call at my mom's (714.896.0192) or just drop by. i am always here, so stop by anyway if i don't pick up the phone. i don't mind being woken up and it's nice to have company.

i miss you all and can't wait to bring the baby out when he's big enough. take care.
